This segment from the November 1, 1985, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Ken Johnson’s report on the changing shrimp industry in Louisiana due to an influx of Vietnamese refugees in coastal communities becoming shrimpers. Johnson reports that a rapid increase in the number of shrimp boats in Louisiana has caused shrimp prices to go down.
