Charlie Whinham hosts live coverage of Governor John Bel Edwards’ opening address to the 2017 Special Session of the Louisiana Legislature on February 13, 2017. Prior to the speech, Whinham and Robert Travis Scott of the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana (PAR) preview the Governor’s speech and the session. In the House chamber, Reverend Leo Cyrus leads a prayer, Senate President John Alario leads the Pledge of Allegiance, and Jake Cowley sings the National Anthem.
