Description
Interview with A.Z. Young on conditions of the Bogalusa Civil Rights March. He states that negroes are thrown into horrible conditions in Vietnam, but they can't walk the streets in Louisiana and Mississippi and feel safe. He states that these boys in Vietnam should be back in Bogalusa and Denham Springs because their fight is on the Denham Springs Hwy trying to get into Baton Rouge. Young says that the marchers are in small numbers, and they are being beaten, pushed around, and hounded like slaves and convicts. He states that he doesn't like the idea of state troopers guarding him on a march because it belittles his character. He says that the fact that he can't walk the streets like any other man, gracefully and upright, is a disgrace to humanity.
