Description
Press conference with Governor John McKeithen about the Bogalusa Civil Rights March. He states that as governor he expects to protect the marchers and see that they have the right to protest. He says that if a person disobeys the law, he's not looking at their color or religion, he's looking at the facts. He continues that when he starts jailing people, he will be completely colorblind. He states that he would rather resign than do less. Governor McKeithen states that he will not participate as governor of Louisiana in any action that would indicate that he is upholding or standing back while people disobey the law.
