A WBRZ-TV Channel 2 Eyewitness news story from Elizabeth Curren on a preliminary auditor’s report showing that $500,000 in federal funds were not spent according to federal grant requirements, but transferred between sub-agencies and C.A.I., Community Advancement, Inc. C.A.I. had allegedly used all of the community grants meant to last through September. City Finance Director Bert Roussel confirms the agency is operating in the hole and may not last through the summer. Despite speculation that Executive Director Lee Wesley would be called to resign, until the final audit report was released, C.A.I. agreed to operate under his direction. Airdate: June 1977
