Description
Oral history with former state representative Jimmy Dimos. Conducted on August 16, 2001. In this interview, Dimos discusses his childhood growing up in Yugoslavia. He tells the story of living in Yugoslavia during Nazi invasion and occupation. He also shares his story of immigrating to the United States in 1951, his early education learning English, and his early career as a lawyer. Dimos also discusses hs career in Louisiana politics as a state representative and some of the legislation he helped pass.
