Description
Oral history with Kate Brown, a member of the League of Women Voters. Conducted on June 24, 2002. Brown continues discussing her early life in Estonia. Brown shares stories and memories living under Russian occupation, memories of Nazi occupation and the Second World War, and how she escaped from Estonia to Germany via ship. Brown lived in Germany until 1946, met her husband during the post-war Allied occupation, and moved to Louisiana with him. Brown also shares some stories from her time in Louisiana, the League of Women Voters, and Louisiana politics. Part 2 of 2.
