Oral history with political consultant and writer Gus Weill. Conducted on August 24, 1994. In this interview, Weill discusses his time working alongside John McKeithen during his run for governor, his time as McKeithen's executive secretary, the successes and failures of media (television and print) in Louisiana political campaigns, shares some stories from other Louisiana governor races including Jimmie Davis and Edwin Edwards, and discusses the Civil Rights Movement in Louisiana.
