Oral history with state representative Mary Catherine "Cathy" Small Long. Conducted on October 28, 1996. Cathy Long is the wife of U.S. representative Gillis Long. In this interview, Long discusses her life in politics, campaigning for Gillis Long during his races for governor of Louisiana, the problems with campaign financing in Louisiana political races, her relationship with Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson, and some stories from her time in office.
