Oral history with Louisiana State Archivist Dr. Donald Lemieux. Conducted on September 25, 2007. In this interview, Lemieux discusses the issues Louisiana faced without a dedicated archives building, the work and lobbying he performed to get the funding for the archives, the opening of the Louisiana State Archives in August 1987, and the development of a dependable archival and records management system in Louisiana.
