Oral history with State Representative Donald Ray Kennard. Conducted on September 11, 2007. In this conclusion, Kennard discusses the issues his district faces, what makes his district "the best" in his opinion, the right to work vote in 1976, and his time under Governor Edwin Edwards, Buddy Roemer, and Mike Foster. He also shares his thoughts on Kathleen Blanco's starting years as governor and his relationship with President George W. Bush. Kennard served in as a Louisiana state representative for thirty-two years with a total of nine terms. This interview is part of a series of interviews conducted with numerous Louisiana legislators being term limited following the 2007 legislative session. Part 2 of 2.
