Oral history with State Representative of District 14 Charles McDonald. Conducted on June 27, 2007. In this conclusion, McDonald talks about gambling in his parish and in Louisiana overall, working under Governor Buddy Roemer, Mike Foster, and Kathleen Blanco. He also reflects on his career as a Democratic representative, the importance of bipartisanship in state politics, and gives advice to the new wave of representatives that are arriving for the 2008 term. As a state representative, McDonald spearheaded programs and bills that aided the Louisiana educational system. McDonald's interview took place alongside several other interviews of Louisiana legislators who left office in 2007 due to being term limited. Part 2 of 2.
