Description
Oral history of Louisiana state police superintendent and World War II veteran Frances Grevenberg. Conducted on September 29, 1997. In this interview, Grevenberg discusses his service in the Louisiana National Guard during the Second World War, his training in artillery school, and his service as an artillery officer in the North Africa, Sicily, and the European Theater. He also shares his experiences with General George Patton and General Omar Bradley. He discusses his return to New Orleans after the war and his start in state police. Part 1 of 2.
