Description
Oral history with U.S. Air Force World War II veteran Revis Sirmon. In this interview, shares stories about the missions he flew during his service, his fellow airmen, his promotion to second in command, and his life after the war working as a pilot for a rice mill and as a crop duster. After retiring from the Air Force, Sirmon continued to fly, both for work and leisure, for most of his life. Sirmon served in the 15th Air Force as a P-38 Lockheed Lightning fighter pilot and flew missions over Italy, the Balkans, Austria, and Germany. Part 1 of 3.
