Oral history with former state representative John Garrett. Conducted on February 11, 1993. In this interview, Garrett discusses his start and career in Louisiana politics during his run for state representative in 1948. He also shares his thoughts on past Louisiana governors he served under like Earl Long and some of the legislation he oversaw while in office. Garrett also discusses problems that face Louisiana legislators.
