Description
Oral history with former Mayor of Baton Rouge, Woody Dumas. Conducted on December 1, 1993. In this interview, Dumas discusses the start of his career in Louisiana politics, the issues he faced and the changes he made throughout Baton Rouge during his time as a councilman and mayor, the process of approving and building the Centroplex (now the Raising Cane's River Center), and the problems he faced with mayors that succeeded him like Pat Screen. Dumas also reflects on his long career and his various achievements.
