Description
This segment from the 2013 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Maggie Tortorich, an eighth grade student at Central Middle School in Gonzales. In December 2010, Tortorich was involved in a life-threatening car accident that crushed half of her skull. Remarkably, only two weeks after the accident, she was able to return to school and her dance classes. She shares her story with the Sudden Impact program, a driving safety course for teenagers.
