Description

This segment from the 2010 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Calob Leindecker, a senior at Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge. Six months after helping his football team win a state championship, Leindecker’s leg was smashed between two trucks in an accident. After having his leg amputated, Leindecker set a goal to get back on the football field. During the first game of the 2009 season, he achieved his comeback by holding the ball during an extra point. He was honored with the 2009 High School Rudy Award for being the Most Inspirational High School Football Player in the nation.
