This segment from the 2006 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Tristan Bagala, a fifth grade student at St. Mary’s Nativity School in Raceland. At the age of ten, Bagala already has a long history of fundraising activities at his school and in his community. After Hurricane Katrina, he spearheaded a raffle to raise money to pay the tuition for the displaced students attending his school, including launching a letter-writing campaign soliciting donations.
