This segment from the 2004 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Dane Lantier, a fourth grade student at St. Cecilia Catholic School in Broussard. Lantier suffers from a rare degenerative bone disease called Morquio Syndrome. Despite the almost constant pain he endures, Lantier maintains a 4.0 grade point average, participates in as many activities as he can, and is an inspiration to everyone around him.
