This segment from the 2003 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Cody Futrell, a junior at West Monroe High School. Futrell was born with Spina Bifida and has endured fifteen major surgeries and eight stress fractures. Despite these challenges, he is an excellent student, a member of the Honor Choir, the announcer for the baseball team, an inspirational speaker, and an outstanding wheelchair athlete.
