This segment from the 2001 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Michael Tuckerson, a sophomore at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. Tuckerson lives in the Boys Hope Girls Hope group home for abused and neglected children near his school. He maintains a 3.9 grade point average in honors classes and volunteers hundreds of hours for Operation Upgrade and Mothers against Drunk Driving.
