This segment from the 2000 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Adam Long, a fifth grade student at Meadowview Elementary School in Bossier City. When he was in second grade, Long lost his mother to breast cancer. He was later diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a cancerous bone tumor in his arm.
