Description
An oral history interview conducted on September 10, 2007, with Jimmie W. Brown, a Vietnam veteran, discussing his father’s World War II service in the Army as both a cook and combat soldier in the infantry. He describes his father’s deployment to the Philippines, his survival as a prisoner of war during the Bataan Death March, and his death after the war as a result of his war wounds. Brown also talks about his family’s generations of military service and provides pictures of his father and sons.
