An oral history interview conducted on August 9, 2017, at the Vietnam Veterans of America Conference in New Orleans, with Alvin Morrow of Birmingham, Alabama. Morrow served as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He discusses: his decision to join the military; his two tours in Vietnam; his combat experience; his role as a drill instructor at Fort Polk in Louisiana; and the negative treatment he received when he returned home.
