This segment from the August 23, 2024, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Karen LeBlanc’s report on Team Gleason’s Speech Accessibility Project, a project aimed at training voice recognition software to better understand individuals with ALS. LeBlanc reports that Team Gleason was founded by former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2011.
