This segment from the March 29, 2019, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charles Jones’ visit to the Chauvin Sculpture Garden created by folk artist Kenny Hill in Chauvin, Louisiana. Jones reports that the sculpture garden was given to Nicholls State University in 2000. He interviews: Dr. Gary LaFleur, a professor of biology at Nicholls State; Dennis Sipiorski, a professor of ceramics at Southeastern Louisiana University; Ernest Milsted, an associate professor of printmaking at Southeastern; Dr. Deborah Cibelli, a professor of art history at Nicholls State; and Billie Babin, an artist docent at the sculpture garden.
