Description
This segment from the October 5, 2018, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Andre Moreau’s report on the 3.6 million acres of soybean crops damaged by the weed killer dicamba in 25 states. Moreau reports that there have been very few complaints about dicamba in Louisiana. He interviews Ted Glaser, a farmer in Pointe Coupee Parish, and Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Mike Strain, who discuss the proper usage of dicamba. In studio, Moreau then interviews Congressman Ralph Abraham of Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District, who discusses ongoing problems with soybean storage.
