They discuss: the open burn pits in military camps in Afghanistan and Iraq; the toxicity of the burn pits; the death of Alice’s son, Staff Sergeant Austin Daniel, due to his compromised immune system from his exposure to the burn pits; Louisiana’s role as the first state in the nation to start a burn pit registry; and the importance of educating military personnel, veterans, and their families about the federal and state burn pit registries.
