This segment from the November 2, 2012, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham and Shauna Sanford leading a panel discussion on the upcoming 2012 presidential and statewide elections. The panelists are: Dr. Pearson Cross, a political science professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL); Dr. Henry Sirgo, a political science professor at McNeese State University; and Mark Ballard, a political reporter with “The Advocate” newspaper. They discuss: their expectations for the voter turnout; the controversy surrounding the 5th District Louisiana Supreme Court election; the Public Service Commission election; and the contentious Third Congressional District election between Congressman Charles Boustany and Congressman Jeff Landry.
