Description
This segment from the August 31, 2012, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Shauna Sanford’s report on the flooding caused by Hurricane Isaac in Laplace. She interviews Laplace residents Stacey Brennan, Edgar Braud, Shelton Baltine, Freddie Pate, and Cheryl Edmonson as they wait in long lines for gasoline. She also follows crews as they search flooded neighborhoods and rescue people trapped in their homes. Lastly, Sanford interviews Laplace evacuees Tracey Echard, Eric Dupree, and Gerard Trigo as they wait to board buses headed to shelters in Alexandria, Shreveport, and Monroe.
