Description

This segment from the August 3, 2012, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features producer Donna LaFleur’s visit to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. She talks to general curator Rick Dietz about the zoo’s lush habitat. She also follows Katie Delorenzo, a senior sea lion trainer, as she cares for one of the zoo’s sea lions. LaFleur then talks to Joe Forsys, an assistant curator of mammals, about the zoo’s care of the endangered Amur leopard. Lastly, LaFleur tours the walk-in aviary with bird curator Lee Schoen.
