This segment from the December 2, 2011, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Sue Lincoln’s visit to the student day activities at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival in Hammond. Lincoln tours the festival, including the craft tents, jousting, and Queen Elizabeth I. She also interviews three students, Trey Lambert of the Baton Rouge International School, Emily Rae Johnson of the Academy of Sacred Heart, and Vincent Jemison of Zachary High School, who discuss their experience at the festival. Lastly, Lincoln interviews Dorothy Triplett, a teacher at Zachary High School, who discusses the educational value of visiting the Renaissance Festival for her students.
