This segment from the April 1, 2011, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features the third and final part of producer Jeremy Alford’s report on the economic impact of the BP Oil Spill. Alford interviews: Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne on the impact to the tourism industry; Secretary Stephen Moret of the Department of Economic Development on the impact of both the oil spill and the Obama Administration’s six-month moratorium on deep water drilling on the oil and gas industry; and economist Loren Scott on it being too early to determine the overall economic impact of the spill.
