This segment from the March 12, 2010, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s visit to the Touro Synagogue in New Orleans, the sixth oldest synagogue in the country. Whinham tours the synagogue with member Adrien Gernsbacher Genet and talks to her about the history of the synagogue, the generosity of the synagogue’s benefactor, Judah Touro, and the annual Jazz Fest Shabbat.
