This segment from the October 9, 2009, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Charlie Whinham’s visit to the unveiling of a new rescue vehicle by the Louisiana State Animal Response Team (LSART) in Lafayette. Whinham tours the new trailer with Dr. Renee Poirrier and Dr. Becky Adcock of LSART and talks to them about the value of having this vehicle during a disaster, their plans to travel around the state to provide advice on evacuation planning for pets, and the importance of micro-chipping your pets.
