This segment from the January 22, 1993, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Jeff Duhe’s report on a federal judge ordering the State of Louisiana to consolidate the four higher education governing boards as a part of the college desegregation case. He reports that the consolidation will not save the state any money in the state budget. He interviews: Governor Edwin Edwards; John Rombach of the Legislative Fiscal Office; Sammy Cosper of the Board of Regents; Gerard Killebrew, academic affairs at the Board of Regents; Sally Clausen, the Governor’s education advisor; and Connie Koury, the Governor’s special counsel.
