Description
This segment from the October 4, 1991, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Jeff Duhe’s report on the 15 fish kills that killed nearly 750,000 fish in Louisiana throughout the summer of 1991. Duhe reports that the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has determined that the fish kills were caused by pesticides. His report also touches on the concerns about the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry’s (LDAF) enforcement of dangerous pesticides.
