Description
This segment from the October 13, 1989, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Jeff Duhe’s report on the findings of a two-year study by the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine into the miscarriage rate in St. Gabriel. Duhe reports that the researchers found a normal miscarriage rate and no definite link between the proximity to industrial sites and miscarriages in the area. His report includes Dr. Ruddie Clark of Tulane announcing their findings of a 12% miscarriage rate in St. Gabriel.
