This segment from the March 11, 1988, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Roger Sockman’s visit to Bossier Parish to meet with the family and friends of Governor-Elect Buddy Roemer prior to his March 14th inauguration. Sockman reports that Roemer grew up on Scopena Plantation near Bossier City.
