Hinton first interviews the five major gubernatorial candidates, Secretary of State Jim Brown, Governor Edwin Edwards, Congressman Bob Livingston, Congressman Buddy Roemer, and Congressman Billy Tauzin. Next, Hinton profiles the candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Bill Dodd, Jr., Lieutenant Governor Bobby Freeman, Royce Guillory, former Secretary of State Paul Hardy, and former DEQ Secretary Pat Norton. Hinton then profiles the candidates for Secretary of State. Next, Hinton profiles the candidates for Attorney General, Orleans Parish District Attorney Harry Connick, Sr., State Representative Manny Fernandez, and Attorney General William Guste. Hinton then profiles the candidates for State Treasurer, Interim State Treasurer Tom Burbank, State Representative Mary Landrieu, State Representative Buddy Leach, and State Representative Kevin Reilly. Next, Hinton profiles two of the candidates for Insurance Commissioner, Insurance Commissioner Sherman Bernard and Doug Green. Hinton then presents the candidates for Commissioner of Agriculture and Elections Commissioner. Lastly, Hinton interviews Dr. Wayne Parent, a political science professor at LSU, who discusses his outlook for the gubernatorial election.
