Description
This segment from the October 1, 1982, episode of “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features a report on the Louisiana Supreme Court’s experiment with the use of television cameras in the courtroom. The Court recently allowed the broadcast of a special session held at LSU. The United States Supreme Court recently ruled that each state can decide whether to allow the use of cameras in the courtroom because they do not prevent a defendant’s right to a fair trial.
