Knapp is the president and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) and Hecht is the president and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc. They discuss: the potential formation of an economic development super-region between New Orleans and Baton Rouge; the creation of the Southeast Super-Region Committee in 2009; the reasons BRAC supports the super-region, including the growing interconnection of the communities and the common challenges; the work of GNO, Inc.; Houston as the biggest competitor to the super-region; and the plans for building a train between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
