Mann is a professor at the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication and the author of “Daisy Petals and Mushroom Clouds: LBJ, Barry Goldwater and the Ad That Changed American Politics.” He discusses the famous “Daisy Girl” television spot from President Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1964 presidential campaign and how it changed political campaign advertising.
