He discusses: CPRA’s operational budget; progress in land creation, levee creation, barrier island construction, dredging, and other projects; their partnership with the Army Corps of Engineers on river management; how the money from the BP Oil Spill settlement will be used; saltwater intrusion; the Gulf of Mexico Energy and Security Act; the 2012 Coastal Master Plan; coastal protection as an issue in the upcoming gubernatorial and legislative elections; the Mississippi River–Gulf Outlet Canal; and studies relating to Mississippi River diversions. He also answers questions from the press concerning climate change.
