Description
A debate held before the Baton Rouge Press Club on October 17, 2011, between two candidates for Secretary of State: Secretary of State Tom Schedler (R), the incumbent, and Speaker of the House Jim Tucker (R). The debate begins with each candidate’s opening statement. The candidates then answer questions on the following topics: critiques and criticisms of the Secretary of State’s Office; increasing voter participation; the House Speaker’s role, if any, in cutting funds to the Secretary of State’s Office; and voter fraud. The debate ends with each candidate’s closing statement.
