Description
A debate held before the Baton Rouge Press Club on September 27, 2010, between five candidates for Lieutenant Governor: Caroline Fayard (D), Butch Gautreaux (D), Roger Villere (R), Jay Dardenne (R), and Kevin Davis (R). Kimberly Vitter, the president of the Baton Rouge Press Club, moderates the debate and members of the press ask the candidates questions. After their opening statements, the candidates answered questions on the following topics: tourism; the state budget crises, particularly with higher education and health care; voter turnout; their favorite past lieutenant governor; their opinions on expanding the role of the lieutenant governor; and museum management. The debate ends with each candidate’s closing statement.
