This segment from the “What’s in a Name, Part 3” episode of the series “Lost Louisiana” from December 7, 2006, features Charlie Whinham’s visit to Start in Richland Parish, the hometown of country music singer Tim McGraw. Whinham talks to Johnny Letlow, the Chief of the Start Fire Department, about the irony of the department’s name, the work of the volunteer fire department, and the origin of the town’s name.
