This segment from the November 3, 2023, episode of the series “Art Rocks!” features James Fox-Smith’s visit to the exhibit of African American Masterworks from the Paul R. Jones Collection at the University of Alabama on display at the LSU Museum of Art in Baton Rouge. Fox-Smith tours the collection with museum curator Michelle Schulte, who discusses: the life of Paul R. Jones; why he decided to donate his collection of African American art to the University of Alabama; and the stories behind some of the art and artists featured in the exhibit.
