Description
This segment from the March 30, 2018, episode of the series “Art Rocks!” features producer Dorothy Kendrick’s report on an acting workshop held at Baton Rouge Community College in partnership with LPB and the New Venture Theatre. The workshop focused on Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun,” the first play written by an African American woman to be produced on Broadway. It includes interviews with: Jacqueline L. Jones, “Lena Younger”; Donald Fountain, “Walter Lee Younger”; Jordanne A.
